ACTING PRESIDENT
As we enter the festive season, we at AMI thank all of our partners and supporters throughout the world for their continued commitment to being co-laborers of Christ. As we look back on how far our organization has come, we give all praise and glory to the Almighty for having brought us this far. As we look forward to the future, we remain hopeful and eager to see what else God will do through us.
As you may know our President and Founder, the Rev. Dr. Eleazar Ziherambere, is undergoing treatment for cancer. Despite the challenges associated with battling this disease, he has continued to provide steadfast leadership to our organization. This year has been exceptionally challenging, and he has prayerfully discerned that he must step back from daily responsibilities with AMI, so that he may fully focus on this battle. Effective immediately, Samuel Ziherambere has been appointed to serve as Acting President and assume the President’s responsibilities and voting authority during this period.
In addition to being a man of the highest integrity, Samuel is passionate about AMI’s mission. He was instrumental in securing AMI’s registration and recognition as a nonprofit organization in the United States, enabling AMI to solicit and receive support from partner entities across the USA and Europe.
Samuel brings extensive experience in the nonprofit and financial sectors. For the past ten years, he served in a leadership capacity, a nonprofit financial organization that offers investment options for individuals, churches, and institutions seeking to express their faith through socially responsible investing practices. Prior to this role, Samuel served as a Loan Officer for a community bank, equipping him with strong financial acumen and a deep understanding of stewardship and accountability.
Of the Acting President, our founder says “Samuel is well-acquainted with the mission and operations of our organization, and I have every confidence in his ability to carry forward the vision and leadership of AMI while I focus on my health. This appointment is effective immediately and will remain in place until I am able to resume my duties.”
